Devlog 01: The Reconstruction Table
The reconstruction table is where Bone Fides happens — the surface where fragments become a person.
We rebuilt it three times. The first version was a jigsaw: satisfying for ten minutes, hollow after an hour. The second was an inventory screen wearing a trench coat. The third finally felt right, because we stopped asking “where does this piece go?” and started asking “what does this piece mean?”
A fragment is not a puzzle piece. It is a witness.
Placement now carries interpretation. Two players can assemble the same remains and walk away with two different lives — and the game holds both accountable when the record catches up with them.
